Lift-Off for Space

Once again many of watched a rocket escape earth’s bonds. Both Blue Origin and Virgin Galactica lifted off. The inspiration for these projects may have been earlier lunar explorations.

Many of us remember man’s first steps on the endlessly fascinating moon. Everyone, from the ancient Hebrews, to the ancient Mayans and Arabs to the Apollo astronauts have seemingly been captivated by the moon’s beauty and mystery. So, fascination with the wonders of the universe is not mine alone. However, my blogs will not be so much about the science of sky watching as about people’s reactions to the moon, stars, and other heavenly bodies. Sometimes I may talk about related subjects, like hiking, wolves, and love. And occasionally about unrelated topics. Please come back in a couple of weeks for my observations about the moon and love.
